The city
defines its inhabitants in the same manner as they have left their mark
on the city. The stones, the streets, the walls...
guard the imprint of a lost way
of life.
In the city we deal with a conglomerate of moments that define how we live,
it's a place where man has left its traces. Tis is
rhe way how polarization
between old-new, past-future or
demolition-musealization becomes a
erroneous discourse. We understand ancient city as
something that becomes
a board on wich to work and that allows the game to
use and reuse, that
allows overlapping, complexity, collage, mixed use,
diversity ... all that has to
be the Encarnación Square.
The saquare is defined by a pergola on the east and a mass of trees in the
west, these two elements surround the square like an
old-style arcaded
square. Under this cloak we articulate different
elements of the program:
Market, Archeological Museum, Sips area...
