We value of Villajoyosa, above its picturesqueness, the qualities of their layout,
where narrow streets are offering extensions that
make small urban voids
hinged together and with a strong character.
Unfavorable situations, in
beggining, such as crowding of historic center and
lack of sunlight make us
go for a way of inserted into the plot with the
highest respect for their values
and rediscover proposes fluffing the interior of the
building, so that without
affecting the essence of its design we can enjoy
their high performance and
also create properly lit and ventilated area, with a
strictly contemporary fit
and program.
We think of a building for public use where this character display enhanced
by the extension of urban space by leaving the
ground floor free and directly
open to the street. A void inside the building on
the ground floor reinforce
the idea of public space and solves the lighting
and ventilation of all the
building.
